We further urged them to design service level agreements with clear timelines on how long land title takes to be issued. Previously the Ministry had a 21 day turnaround time, with new technologies why not even shorter. In order to unlock our Development Agenda we have to urgently deal with land management issues because on land lies resources like water, minerals and timber and without removing the bottlenecks of land accessibility for farming and infrastructure development, our ability to move forward in delivering development to our people and create decent employment, will be affected. And most importantly, those wishing to access financing, can use the same land as collateral. In order to effectively carry out this important process of the Land Titling Programme, we advised the Minister of Lands and his team to bring on board and work in close collaboration with other line Ministries like Finance and Local Government.Hakainde Hichilema,President of the Republic of Zambia.<\/div>\n\n \n
